Sales Development Representative – Managed Cyber Security (FULLY REMOTE!!)
£35,000–£40,000 Basic + £20,000 Commission | Fully Remote | UK
We’re working with a specialist UK cyber security provider that is investing heavily in its commercial function and looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the team.
This is an outbound-focused SDR position, built around identifying new opportunities, engaging senior decision-makers and generating high-quality pipeline for the Account Director team.
You’ll be selling into a market where cyber security is a business-critical requirement, supported by a broad portfolio of Managed Security Services including 24/7 SOC, Managed Detection & Response, XDR, EDR, security monitoring, cyber assessments and wider threat detection and response services.
The Role
As an SDR, you’ll take ownership of the top of the sales funnel, using a strategic, multi-channel approach to identify and engage prospective customers.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Targeting SMB and Mid-Market organisations
- Building targeted prospect lists and running structured outbound campaigns
- Using telephone, email and LinkedIn to engage new prospects
- Researching organisations and understanding their cyber security challenges
- Engaging with IT, Security and C-level stakeholders
- Creating conversations around managed cyber security, SOC and threat detection services
- Working closely with Sales and Marketing to continually improve outbound campaigns

You’ll have a broad Managed Security Services portfolio behind you, including:
- Managed SOC / SOC-as-a-Service
- Managed Detection & Response
- XDR / EDR
- Security monitoring and threat detection
- Microsoft security
- Network Detection & Response
- Cyber assessments and compliance
- Dark Web monitoring
- Wider managed threat detection and response services
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who enjoys the hunt.
You don’t necessarily need years of cyber security experience — we’re more interested in your ability to prospect, create conversations and consistently generate opportunities.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an SDR, BDR, B2B Telesales or New Business role
- A genuine outbound sales mindset
- Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- Resilience and the ability to handle rejection
- A structured approach to prospecting and follow-up
- Commercial curiosity and a desire to understand customers
- An interest in technology and cyber security

Experience selling Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, SaaS, Cloud, Telecoms or other technology solutions would be particularly relevant.
