SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE | £30K–£35K + COMMISSION | LONDON


I’m currently recruiting for a Sales Development Representative to join a highly respected financial intelligence, data, and events business specialising in the global structured finance market.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1+ years of sales or client-facing experience who wants to build a long-term career in B2B sales while gaining exposure to some of the biggest names across financial services.

About the business

  • Established for 10+ years with a strong reputation within a specialist financial market
  • Provides market intelligence, proprietary data, news, and industry events
  • Works with investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, law firms, insurers, and other financial institutions
  • Small London team of around 26 people, meaning you’ll have real visibility and exposure across the business
  • Stable business with strong staff retention and a collaborative, low-ego culture
  • Central London office at 22 Bishopsgate
  • Hybrid working – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office

The role

This isn't a traditional high-volume, cold-call SDR role.

You’ll be speaking with people who have already interacted with the business — whether through attending an event, subscribing to the platform, or engaging with SCI previously.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Re-engaging prospective and lapsed customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Researching prospects and businesses to make outreach relevant and targeted
  • Having initial, consultative conversations with senior financial professionals
  • Understanding prospect requirements and qualifying opportunities
  • Booking meetings and demonstrations for the wider sales team
  • Managing activity and prospect information through HubSpot
  • Working closely with the New Business team to develop opportunities
  • Building your knowledge of the structured finance market

What we're looking for

  • 1+ years' experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role
  • Confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Naturally curious and keen to learn about financial markets
  • Relationship-focused rather than purely transactional
  • Organised, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Open to coaching and motivated by career development
  • Interested in building a long-term career in sales
