Role Description

The Sales Development Representative – Newcastle (Hybrid) role is a full-time position based on-site in the United Kingdom, with a blend of office and flexible working arrangements. In this role, the Sales Development Representative will identify and qualify new business opportunities, conduct outbound calls and emails, and manage inbound leads. The role involves researching target accounts, engaging prospects, and booking meetings or demonstrations for the wider sales team. The Sales Development Representative will collaborate closely with sales and marketing colleagues to refine messaging, maintain accurate records in CRM systems, and support pipeline growth. Regular reporting on activity and performance, along with continuous learning and adoption of best practices, will also be part of day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Strong inside sales and lead generation skills, with experience in prospecting and qualifying opportunities.
  • Solid sales and business development capabilities, including managing pipelines and supporting revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and handle objections.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid, on-site environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools, and basic understanding of B2B SaaS or technology markets.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with resilience in high-activity sales environments.
  • Prior experience in a sales development or similar role is beneficial; relevant education or training in business, marketing, or related fields is an advantage.
