Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll also play an important role in retaining customers and supporting renewals, giving you exposure to the full sales cycle and the opportunity to develop valuable commercial skills.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Reaching out to prospective customers by phone, email and other channels to generate new business opportunities.
  • Qualifying leads and arranging high-quality meetings for the wider sales team.
  • Responding to customer enquiries through our sales inbox, web chat and other contact channels.
  • Building relationships with customers and helping them find the right solution for their needs.
  • Speaking with customers who are considering cancelling their service, understanding their concerns and exploring ways we can support them.
  • Contacting customers about upcoming renewals and helping identify opportunities to continue and strengthen the relationship.
  • Keeping customer records and sales opportunities accurate and up to date within our CRM system.
  • Sharing customer feedback and insights that can help improve our products, services and overall customer experience.
  • Acting as a positive ambassador for Mercia, delivering a professional and friendly experience in every interaction.

What’s The Best Thing About This Role

  • You'll get exposure to lots of different types of sales conversations from generating new opportunities and qualifying leads to supporting renewals and customer retention.
  • You'll be trusted to make things happen, and every meeting booked, customer retained and opportunity created will contribute to the team's success.

What’s The Most Challenging Thing About This Role

  • It's a busy role with a lot to keep on top of. You could be following up on new enquiries one minute and speaking with a customer who's thinking about cancelling the next. You'll need to stay organised, manage multiple priorities and remain positive when conversations don't always go your way.
