SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE – RECRUITMENT
£25,000 Base + £35,000–£40,000 OTE + Benefits Cheltenham, UK | Hybrid
The Opportunity
Certus Recruitment Group has been connecting exceptional talent with technology businesses for over 25 years.
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to play a key role in identifying and developing new recruitment opportunities across the UK.
You’ll focus on businesses hiring across Go-to-Market and Technology, identifying potential opportunities, engaging with decision-makers and creating conversations that can develop into new client relationships.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced SDR or business development professional looking to develop their career within technology recruitment, with strong tools, training and management support behind them.
What You'll Do
- Identify businesses and hiring opportunities across the UK technology market
- Prospect into potential clients across GTM and Technology recruitment
- Use LinkedIn, CRM, databases, email, telephone and other BD tools to identify and engage prospects
- Research businesses, hiring activity and key decision-makers
- Initiate conversations with senior stakeholders and qualify potential recruitment opportunities
- Develop relationships and create qualified opportunities for the wider recruitment team
- Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your prospect pipeline
- Work closely with experienced recruitment consultants and management
- Consistently follow up and develop opportunities through to qualified meetings

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with previous SDR, BDR, business development, telesales or recruitment experience who understands the importance of prospecting, persistence and building relationships.
You'll need to be commercially driven, confident speaking with decision-makers and comfortable working towards targets.
- Previous experience in an SDR, BDR, business development or recruitment role essential
- Proven experience in outbound prospecting and lead generation
- Confident and comfortable speaking to people on the phone and LinkedIn
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Resilient and comfortable with prospecting and rejection
- Organised, persistent and able to manage your own pipeline
- Commercially minded and motivated by achieving results
- Previous experience within recruitment or technology is advantageous
- Ambitious and keen to develop a long-term career
