THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an ambitious, confident and energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow One World Staffing across the UK&I and EMEA.
This is a role for someone who enjoys talking to people, opening doors and creating opportunities. Your focus will be simple: find organisations that need great people for their events, start the conversation and introduce them to One World Staffing.
- One day you could be speaking with an event agency looking for 50 brand ambassadors for a major activation in London, the next an organiser needing registration staff across Europe, or a global brand looking for experienced event teams across multiple cities.
You'll spend your time researching potential clients, finding the right decision-makers and reaching out through cold calls, email, LinkedIn and industry networking.
You'll work closely with our sales and staffing teams to turn those initial conversations into genuine opportunities and long-term client relationships.
It's fast-paced, social and target-driven. If you're someone who likes picking up the phone, meeting new people and seeing your conversations turn into real opportunities, you'll fit right in.
ABOUT ONE WORLD STAFFING
One World Staffing provides the people behind unforgettable events and experiences around the world.
- From conferences and exhibitions to brand activations, sporting events, hospitality and live experiences, we connect our clients with experienced, reliable event professionals who help bring their events to life.
Our staffing network supports events across the UK, Europe and internationally, providing everything from registration teams and brand ambassadors to hospitality staff, event crew, technicians and specialist event personnel.
We work with event organisers, agencies, venues, brands and businesses that need great people, whether that's one specialist for a single event or large teams deployed across multiple locations.
Events move quickly. So do we.
We're building a staffing business that's responsive, ambitious and capable of supporting clients wherever their events take them, and we're looking for someone who wants to help us grow it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Find new opportunities – research event organisers, agencies, venues, brands and businesses that could benefit from our staffing services.
- Pick up the phone – cold calling will be a major part of your role. You'll speak directly with potential clients, understand how they currently manage staffing and introduce One World Staffing.
- Build your own prospect pipeline – identify decision-makers and create a strong pipeline of potential clients across the UK&I and EMEA.
- Get creative with outreach – use phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and industry events to start conversations and get One World Staffing in front of the right people.
- Understand the client's world – learn about their events, staffing challenges, upcoming projects and where we could make their lives easier.
- Create qualified opportunities – your job isn't just to book meetings. You'll uncover genuine staffing requirements and create opportunities that can develop into real business.
- Work closely with the wider team – collaborate with our sales, staffing and delivery teams to move opportunities forward and ensure potential clients get the right support.
- Build relationships – today's cold call could become tomorrow's biggest account. You'll start relationships that can grow into long-term partnerships.
- Stay connected to the events industry – keep an eye on upcoming events, exhibitions, agencies, venues, new openings and industry developments that could create opportunities.
- Own your numbers – manage your activity, opportunities and targets while keeping your pipeline and CRM organised and up to date.
YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF...
You don't need years of staffing experience. We're much more interested in finding someone who's confident, competitive, curious and comfortable starting conversations with people they've never spoken to before.
You'll ideally have:
- 1+ years' experience in sales, recruitment, business development, events or another client-facing role
- The confidence to pick up the phone and speak with new people every day
- A genuine interest in events, hospitality, staffing or live experiences
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport quickly
- A proactive mindset: you enjoy finding opportunities rather than waiting for leads to arrive
- The resilience to hear "not right now" and keep going
- The curiosity to ask good questions and understand how a potential client's business works
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage a busy prospecting pipeline
- A competitive mindset and motivation to hit and exceed targets
- Experience using a CRM or sales prospecting tools

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Previous experience in recruitment, staffing, events, exhibitions, hospitality, venues, event agencies or experiential marketing would be a big advantage, but it isn't essential.
If you've previously worked in recruitment and enjoy the business development side of the job, this could also be a great opportunity to move into the events industry.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive salary + uncapped commission
- Clear earning potential linked directly to your performance
- Company laptop and mobile phone
- Opportunities to attend events, exhibitions and industry networking
- International exposure across the UK&I and EMEA markets
- Ongoing sales, staffing and events industry training
- Clear opportunities for career progression
- The opportunity to develop from SDR into a wider sales or account management role
- Exposure to major events, agencies and global brands
- A collaborative, ambitious and high-performance team
- The chance to play a key role in growing an international staffing business
Most importantly, this isn't a role where you'll spend your career sitting behind a spreadsheet.
You'll be speaking to people, discovering events, building relationships, creating opportunities and helping put great teams on the ground at events across the UK, Europe and beyond.
If you're confident on the phone, hungry to build a career in sales and love the energy of the events industry, we'd love to hear from you.
