Sales Development Representative (Travel)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Development Representative (Travel) based in United Kingdom.

This remote opportunity is designed for a sales professional with experience in the travel industry who is passionate about building relationships and generating new business opportunities. You will play a key role in growing sales pipelines by identifying prospects, engaging decision-makers, and qualifying high-value opportunities. The role combines market research, outbound prospecting, and strategic communication to support business growth. You will collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and accelerate revenue opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys autonomy, and is motivated by measurable sales impact.

Accountabilities

As a Sales Development Representative (Travel), you will manage the early stages of the sales cycle by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers within the travel sector. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting and generating new leads through cold calls, emails, social selling, and other outbound sales channels.
  • Researching target companies, industries, and key decision-makers to create personalized outreach campaigns.
  • Conducting discovery calls and email conversations to qualify inbound and outbound prospects.
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline by identifying high-potential opportunities.
  • Managing accurate records of prospect interactions, activities, and pipeline progress within CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Collaborating with Account Executives to schedule product demonstrations and ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Achieving or exceeding weekly and monthly sales development targets, including qualified meetings and pipeline contribution.
  • Sharing market insights, customer feedback, and messaging recommendations with marketing teams.
  • Staying informed about travel industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales development professional with strong communication skills and experience working within the travel sector. You should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Sales Development Representative, Business Development, or similar sales experience.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience focused on the travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of travel market dynamics, industry players, and customer decision-making processes.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed lead generation and sales development targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or SalesLoft.
  • Strong research, organization, and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and succeed in a fully remote environment.
  • Flexibility to collaborate across different client time zones when required.
