Rooya Behavioural Intelligence Platform · UK Commercial Team

Every deal starts with a conversation. In this role, you start most of ours.

Role: Sales Development Representative, UK

Reports to: Senior Director of Sales and Marketing
Location: London (Farringdon), hybrid, two or three days a week in the office

Who we are

Rooya is a vision telematics company, and at our core, a data company. Our AI-powered cameras capture what's happening on the road and in the cab. Our Behaviour Intelligence Platform turns that into structured, usable signal. What matters is what our customers do with it: prevent collisions, clear drivers who aren't at fault, coach behaviour, defend claims and run tighter operations.

We're around 150 people across the UK and the Gulf, backed by solid investors, and serving fleets in logistics, distribution, construction, field services, waste and recycling, and public transport.

Decisions are made quickly and close to the customer, and the conversations you start shape where we grow next.

How we work

At Rooya, you're a partner, not a number. We don't run our people the way the big players do, and we don't run our clients that way either.

We build our platform with our clients, shaped around their fleets, their processes and their needs. We work with our team the same way. You'll have a real voice in how we sell, what we build and where we go next, and together we'll grow a company we're all proud of.

You'll join a team of experienced professionals across sales, customer success, product, engineering and analytics, all focused on the same goal: making fleets safer and smarter.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About the role

You'll be the first voice many fleet operators hear from Rooya. You'll research target accounts, start conversations with fleet, operations, safety and finance leaders, and book qualified meetings for our Growth Manager and Account Executives.

You'll work across our core markets, logistics and construction, and help open new sectors: waste and recycling, public sector, passenger transport and heavy plant.

This is a specialist SDR role for an experienced prospector, not a first job in sales. You'll bring a proven approach to outbound and sharpen it in our market. The role is target-driven, measured on qualified meetings and pipeline created, and you'll help shape how our SDR function grows.

In this role, you will

  • Build pipeline through personalised outreach by phone, email and LinkedIn
  • Make a high volume of cold calls every day, typically 60 or more
  • Research target accounts and map the decision makers: fleet, operations, health and safety, and finance
  • Qualify interest and book meetings for the Growth Manager and Account Executives
  • Work with the Growth Manager to test messaging and sequences in new sectors
  • Learn our platform and fleet operations well enough to hold a credible first conversation
  • Represent Rooya at trade shows and industry events
  • Hit and exceed your meeting and pipeline targets, and keep clean records in Pipedrive

About you

  • You love the phone. A cold call is a chance to learn something, not something to put off.
  • You're resilient. You hear no a lot, and it doesn't slow you down.
  • You're curious. You ask good questions and listen properly to the answers.
  • You're organised. You plan your day, work your list and follow up when you said you would.
  • You take pride in the craft. Opening doors is a skill, and you keep working at it: better research, sharper openers, tighter sequences.
  • You qualify properly. You'd rather book one meeting that turns into pipeline than three that go nowhere.
  • You're a team player. You share what works and celebrate the team's wins as much as your own.
  • You care about the outcome. Safer drivers, safer roads and fewer collisions matter to you.

  • Experience qualifying prospects and handing over well-prepared meetings to closers
  • Comfortable working in a CRM and keeping accurate records
  • UK based, with the right to work in the UK, able to be in the London office two or three days a week and to travel to events
