Job Title: Sales Development Team Leader
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 + Bonus
Location: Morley, Leeds
Type: Permanent
What You'll Do
As a hands-on sales leader, you'll combine personal business development activity with team management responsibilities. You'll ensure your team is performing at its best, maintaining high standards of customer engagement, pipeline management and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of up to five Sales Development Executives and Apprentices.
- Monitor call activity, sales performance and KPI achievement across the team.
- Manage team pipelines, sales forecasting and CRM accuracy.
- Support new starters through onboarding and accreditation programmes.
- Build and maintain a high-quality prospect pipeline to achieve personal sales targets.
- Win new business opportunities across Domestic, International and Fulfilment services.
- Ensure new customers are successfully onboarded and operational within agreed timescales.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver excellent service.
- Resolve customer escalations and account-related queries.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure service levels meet customer expectations.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience in Telesales, Field Sales or Account Management.
- At least two years' commercial experience within the logistics industry.
- A proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and the SME marketplace.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Effective negotiation, problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
