Location & Travel Requirements
Location: Remote, with a requirement to attend the company office in London when business needs require.
Travel: This role requires regular international travel:
- Monthly travel within European regions.
- Twice-yearly travel to Seattle, USA for management meetings.
- Must be comfortable with regular international travel as an essential part of the role.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Sales Director to lead an EMEA sales organization within a global network and connectivity business.
This is a people-leadership-focused role, overseeing a team of experienced sales professionals and taking responsibility for new business development, strategic account growth, and overall team performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom, networking, connectivity, data centers, network infrastructure, hardware, subsea, or a related technical environment, together with a proven track record of leading geographically distributed sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 7 sales professionals across EMEA, including Strategic Client Managers and Global Client Managers.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and strategic direction to an experienced, geographically distributed sales team.
- Drive new business development and new-logo acquisition across the EMEA market while supporting the growth of strategic customer accounts.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with regional and global business objectives.
- Work closely with the team on pipeline development, customer engagement, sales planning, and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners across the telecom, networking, connectivity, data center, and related technology markets.
- Provide commercial and strategic guidance on complex technical and network solutions.
- Foster a strong, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, professional development, and long-term performance.
- Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities and risks, and take appropriate action to achieve team objectives.
- Undertake regular international travel across Europe, including Amsterdam, Paris, and Frankfurt, as well as twice-yearly travel to Seattle for management meetings.

Requirements

- Proven experience leading and managing a geographically distributed sales team across EMEA or international markets.
- Strong sales leadership background within telecom, networking, connectivity, data centers, network infrastructure, hardware, subsea, or related technical industries.
- Demonstrated experience in business development and new-logo acquisition, with the ability to coach and challenge sales professionals based on direct sales experience.
- Experience managing senior sales professionals and strategic account teams.
- Strong understanding of technical and network solutions, with the ability to engage credibly with customers, partners, and sales teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable operating in a remote, global environment with regular international travel.
- Willingness and ability to attend the London office when required by the business.
- Experience with IP Transit or global network services is a plus, but not essential.
- A collaborative and empathetic leadership style, combined with the confidence and experience to lead high-performing, experienced sales professionals.
