⭐ Role Overview

The organisation is seeking an exceptional Director of Sales to lead national commercial growth across its SaaS workforce-management and temporary staffing solutions. This senior leadership role will shape sales strategy, drive revenue, and expand market share within the health and social care sector.

The ideal candidate will bring deep SaaS sales expertise, healthcare temp staffing market knowledge, and an established network of care providers. You will build and scale a high-performing sales team, champion a consultative sales approach, and accelerate adoption of a platform widely recognised as more advanced and more intuitive than traditional agency systems.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the national sales strategy across SaaS workforce-management and temporary staffing solutions.
  • Drive significant revenue growth and expand market penetration across care homes, social care groups, and NHS partners.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team with clear KPIs and accountability.
  • Develop and deliver go-to-market plans aligned with product roadmap and market opportunities.
  • Leverage an existing network of healthcare temp staffing clients to accelerate adoption and shorten sales cycles.
  • Deliver executive-level sales presentations, demos, and proposals to senior decision-makers.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, ensuring seamless onboarding and long-term client success.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting and provide monthly/quarterly performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events and networking forums to strengthen brand presence and pipeline growth.

⭐ Required Experience & Skills

Essential

  • 7–10+ years’ experience in SaaS sales leadership, ideally within workforce-management, HR tech, scheduling, or staffing platforms.
  • Strong background in healthcare temporary staffing, agency operations, or digital staffing solutions.
  • Proven success in building and scaling sales teams in high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Demonstrable track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving sustained commercial growth.
  • Existing network of care providers, including care homes, social care groups, and NHS organisations.
  • Expertise in consultative enterprise sales and complex solution selling.
  • Ability to work from or commute regularly to Glasgow.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience selling into multi-site care groups or national healthcare organisations.
  • Knowledge of workforce compliance, CQC/CI requirements, and staffing regulations.
  • Familiarity with modern SaaS sales tooling and CRM systems.
  • Prior experience at a competitor in the healthcare staffing or workforce-management SaaS space.
