I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role
This is a new-business, individual-contributor sales role focused on acquiring institutional clients for NOVA CMX across the UK market. You will own the full enterprise sales cycle — from prospecting through to commercial negotiation and contract close — and will work in a lean structure with direct access to senior leadership rather than a large supporting sales function.
What You'll Do
- Identify, qualify and pursue new institutional client opportunities across UK brokers, banks, asset managers and other financial institutions.
- Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and solution positioning through to commercial negotiation and contract close.
- Build and maintain a structured, transparent sales pipeline using CRM tools, with accurate forecasting and reporting to leadership.
- Engage and influence C-suite and senior decision-makers within capital markets institutions.
- Represent NOVA CMX at industry forums, conferences and networking events to build brand visibility in the UK market.
- Partner with our Key Account Management team to identify and support expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Develop and execute the regional UK sales strategy, aligned with NOVA CMX's broader growth plans.
- Feed market intelligence and competitive insight back into product and go-to-market planning.
