Sales Director - UK

Location: London (National Travel Required)

As we continue to grow across the UK, we're looking for an exceptional Sales Director to lead our UK sales organisation and drive the next phase of growth within our agent network.

This is a high-impact senior leadership role with full accountability for the commercial performance of our UK agent channel. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will lead the Sales Management Team and be responsible for delivering revenue, margin and EBIT objectives while driving transaction growth, agent network expansion and market penetration across the UK.

We're looking for a commercially astute and inspirational leader who combines strategic thinking with operational execution and has a proven track record of delivering sustainable growth within the money transfer, remittance or wider payments industry.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

As Sales Director, You Will:

  • Develop and execute the UK sales strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
  • Take full ownership of UK sales revenue and performance.
  • Drive growth across key commercial metrics, including transaction volumes, agent recruitment, new business development and agent productivity.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and agent economics to identify growth opportunities and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Shape strategic priorities and ensure resources are focused on areas that deliver the greatest commercial impact.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Revenue, Marketing, Operations and Compliance to support business growth.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, commercial insight and performance reporting to support executive decision-making.

Sales Leadership & Team Development

You Will:

  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing Sales Management Team, including Regional Managers and Business Development leadership.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and commercial excellence.
  • Set clear performance expectations and ensure disciplined sales management practices across the organisation.
  • Coach senior leaders to maximise team performance and capability.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning and leadership growth across the sales function.
  • Champion the use of CRM systems, reporting tools and data-driven decision-making.

Agent Network Growth & Market Expansion

You Will:

  • Lead the UK strategy for agent acquisition, activation, development and retention.
  • Drive sustainable growth within the agent network, ensuring strong levels of productivity and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen market coverage and expand into new communities, corridors and customer segments.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Lead strategic commercial negotiations with key agents and partners.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments and market trends to ensure continued competitive advantage.

Cross-Functional Leadership

You Will:

  • Act as a senior commercial leader within the UK business.
  • Champion exceptional agent and customer experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with key business functions to ensure effective execution of the commercial strategy.
  • Ensure growth objectives are achieved while maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership and commercial insight to support wider business objectives.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an established sales leader with a strong reputation for delivering results, developing high-performing teams and driving sustainable commercial growth.

Essential Experience

  • Significant senior sales leadership experience within the UK money transfer, remittance or wider payments industry.
  • Proven experience leading senior managers and geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Demonstrable success delivering substantial revenue growth and commercial performance through leadership of others.
  • Strong experience managing revenue, margin and key strategic performance indicators.
  • Deep understanding of agent-led distribution models and agent network management.
  • Proven ability to drive transaction growth, agent acquisition and new business performance.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using data to drive commercial decisions and performance improvement.
  • Experience negotiating and managing significant commercial partnerships.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating successfully within a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales performance reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the UK as required.
