Sales Director | Energy & Infrastructure Technology
Northern Ireland | UK & International remit
Competitive base + uncapped commission + bonus + car allowance
We are working with a growing Northern Ireland-based technology and engineering business looking to appoint a Sales Director to lead its next phase of commercial growth.
This is a senior, hands-on opportunity with a significant amount of autonomy. Rather than inheriting an established sales organisation, you will initially take direct responsibility for developing and closing high-value B2B opportunities while building the commercial function around you.
The opportunity:
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and close
- Develop and win high-value capital equipment and technical solution sales
- Build relationships with major commercial and infrastructure customers
- Lead complex proposals, tenders and commercial negotiations
- Recruit and develop the internal sales team as the business scales
- Build a national agent, distributor and channel partner network
- Help shape the company's wider go-to-market and marketing strategy
- Identify opportunities for expansion across the UK, Ireland and international markets
- Work directly with the senior leadership team with considerable influence over commercial strategy

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
