Sales Director – London

£110,000 plus bonus, car, health, pension

Location

Regional Hubs across the UK (South East/London, North, Southwest, or Scotland)

Position Type

Full-time, Senior Management

Reporting To

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Board of Directors

Position Overview

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial growth strategy for a premier, employee-owned Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and smart building solutions provider. You will lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing regional sales team to secure new project installations, support/maintenance contracts, and energy optimization solutions. Because the client is "solution agnostic," your focus will be on positioning tailored, client-focused outcomes using industry-leading technologies like Trend, Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure), Tridium, Honeywell, and Distech. This role bridges the gap between high-level sustainability strategy and practical commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national and regional sales strategy aligned with their aggressive smart building and carbon reduction growth targets.
  • Identify and secure high-value BEMS turnkey installations, long-term maintenance contracts, and energy analytics packages (PROActiv Energy).
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to forecast revenue, set transparent regional sales targets, and manage the commercial budget.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
