Sales Director – UK Commercial Function

We're partnering with a leading international professional services consultancy to appoint a Sales Director to lead and develop its UK commercial function.

This is a significant leadership hire, reporting directly into the UK Managing Director and taking ownership of the national sales strategy across new business, existing account growth, sales leadership and go-to-market execution.

You'll inherit a team of around 15 sales professionals, with the opportunity to shape how the function operates, improve commercial performance and build the team further as the business grows.

This is a role for someone who has genuinely built, developed or transformed a commercial function, rather than simply inherited an established sales machine.

The role:

  • Own and deliver the UK sales strategy, forecasts and commercial targets
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of around 15, hiring further talent in line with growth plans
  • Drive both new logo acquisition and growth across existing enterprise accounts
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop lead generation, nurturing, ABM and targeted GTM campaigns
  • Improve sales productivity, pipeline management, forecasting and CRM discipline
  • Remain hands-on with strategically important opportunities and support the team in closing complex deals
  • Work closely with senior leadership to translate wider business strategy into actionable commercial plans

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
