HEAD OF SALES/ SALES DIRECTOR – BRANDED FMCG

Yorkshire | Six figure Salary + bonus, car allowance, healthcare and pension

I’m leading a confidential search for a Sales Director to join an outstanding international FMCG brand at an important and genuinely exciting point in its UK journey.

With strong foundations, established grocery distribution and an ambitious growth agenda, the business is looking for an exceptional commercial leader to take ownership of its UK sales function, major customer relationships and next phase of sustainable growth.

This is a high-profile leadership role but it isn’t one for someone who wants to lead from a distance. The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on and customer-facing Sales Director who can:

  • Set a clear and compelling UK commercial strategy
  • Lead, coach and inspire a talented sales team
  • Strengthen senior relationships across the major grocery retailers
  • Translate strategy into focused customer plans and measurable results
  • Drive distribution, profitability and sustainable brand growth
  • Bring clarity and discipline to category, pricing and revenue growth management
  • Act as a trusted commercial partner to the UK Managing Director

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The business combines the backing and heritage of a successful international group with the energy, accessibility and autonomy of a focused UK operation. It offers the opportunity to make a real and highly visible impact across customers, people and performance.

I’m particularly interested in speaking with Sales Directors, Heads of Sales and Senior Commercial leaders from branded FMCG businesses. Experience across impulse-led categories would be especially relevant. Just as importantly, the cultural fit needs to be right.

You’ll be commercially ambitious but grounded. Strategic but highly practical. Confident without ego. You’ll enjoy working as part of a close-knit leadership team, take genuine end-to-end ownership and be equally comfortable writing the plan, presenting it and getting alongside customers and colleagues to deliver it.
