Sales Director

We are looking for a Sales Director to play a pivotal role in driving recruitment within our recruitment division. This is a unique opportunity to combine commercial success with social impact, contributing to the UK’s net zero ambitions while helping shape a rapidly growing business.

Who we are

We are Commercial Services Group (CSG), which is the UK’s largest local authority-owned trading company (LATCO). Our group supports over 16,000 education and public sector customers across the UK and internationally, generating over £800 million in revenue annually.

Why this role matters

The Sales Director will drive end-to-end recruitment within the built environment sector, leading and growing as well as sourcing and placing high-calibre professionals across key disciplines.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across tier construction, and public sector organisations.
  • Identify client workforce needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions that align with service goals.
  • Develop and grow our client pool.
  • Source and engage candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking to build a specialist talent pool.
  • Conduct interviews, vetting, and compliance checks to ensure candidate suitability and readiness.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy briefing through to placement and aftercare.
  • Achieve agreed activity targets including CV submissions, interviews arranged, and monthly placements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, employment legislation, GDPR, and safeguarding policies.
  • Monitor market trends, legislation, and workforce challenges in the UK and US energy sectors.
  • Drive business development by securing new clients, signing terms, and expanding recruitment opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
