Sales Director, Asset Management & Insurance – EMEA
Why move for this?
Most sales leadership roles at this level come with a catch: a team you have to build from scratch, a proposition the market has heard a hundred times, or a number nobody has ever hit. This one has none of those.
- You'd inherit an established London team of four experienced salespeople, with a fifth specialist matrixed in for data, technology and AI services.
- The territory has history: leadership has delivered well beyond the current target on this patch before, and the firm's capabilities have matured considerably since.
- The number is ambitious but it's been done.
The proposition is also genuinely easier to sell right now than most.
- The business is one of the global leaders in research, data, analytics and AI-enabled services to financial services, with 7,000+ analysts, data specialists and technologists across nearly 30 locations and more than 800 client institutions.
- It sits in a sweet spot very few firms occupy: scaled offshoring combined with a proprietary, domain-specific agentic AI platform built for banks, asset managers and PE houses.
- When you ask a CIO or COO for a meeting, you're bringing them something new.
And the trajectory is real.
- The business separated from a major financial information group, took on top-tier private equity backing, and has kept investing, including a recent acquisition of a European AI and digital services firm that materially deepened its technology capability.
- You'd be joining a PE-backed growth story mid-flight, not a business managing decline.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The commercial deal
- Your commission is paid on the full team number, not just your own deals, and it's uncapped, with accelerators that step up meaningfully once the team passes target.
- Beat the number with a good team behind you and the earnings potential is significant.
- There's a competitive six-figure base and benefits alongside.
- Full details on application.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales & Business Development, you'll own new-logo sales into asset managers (traditional investment managers across public and private assets, wealth managers, hedge funds) and insurers across the UK and Continental Europe.
It's a leadership role first:
- Owning the team number, coaching senior salespeople through complex enterprise cycles, shaping account strategy.
- But it's hands-on. You'll be in the room on major pitches, opening doors at senior level, and you can hold back a portion of the quota to bring your own deals to the table if that's how you like to operate.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
The proposition helps clients scale their front- and middle-office operations through centralisation and automation. The portfolio spans buy-side investment research support, financial marketing support (RFPs, DDQs, digital marketing), compliance services, data and technology services, and implementation work around platforms such as Charles River and Sentinel.
Your buyers are CIOs, COOs, CTOs, Heads of Operations and Heads of Marketing. A global delivery model with offshore subject-matter and pre-sales teams sits behind you. Expect regular travel.
Who this suits
- Someone with extensive enterprise sales experience who has sold services or solutions into asset managers at senior stakeholder level, and who has genuinely managed experienced salespeople rather than early-career teams.
- The selling style here is consultative and value-led: convincing a COO of the worth of a service, not negotiating subscriptions with procurement.
- You'll still have the hunger to open doors yourself.
- Front-office experience at a bank or asset manager helps but isn't essential, as does fluency in French or German.
- A strong network across UK and European asset managers or insurers matters more than ticking every box.
