If you are a driven, professional, reliable, resilient self-starter with a proven track record in selling research, consulting, or other professional services, and you know the value of teamwork, this could be the role for you.
The Opportunity
Counterpoint is entering its next stage of growth and is building out its international sales leadership. As part of this expansion, we are hiring a Sales Director for Europe, based in the UK or Germany, to own the region's commercial performance and help translate Counterpoint's global strategy into sustainable growth across European markets.
This role will report into Counterpoint's global sales leadership and work closely with the CEO's office, Research, and Marketing teams to grow our presence with leading technology companies across the region.
As Sales Director for Europe, you will own the region's commercial performance and play a leading role in shaping how Counterpoint grows with technology companies, investors, and OEMs across the market.
What You'll Do

- Own a business quota and drive new business, enterprise account expansion, and client retention across existing accounts and prospects.
- Identify customer pain points, understand clients' business challenges, deliver targeted strategic insights, and build and maintain strategic account plans.
- Create proposals for prospective clients and lead deal cycles from prospecting through close.
- Develop prospects and profile clients through networking, industry connections, and identifying key decision-makers.
- Build and maintain close client relationships, including post-delivery follow-up, to ensure clients realize ongoing value from Counterpoint's research.
- Generate new opportunities through systematic prospecting, outbound activity, and inbound inquiry management.
- Maintain effective working relationships with the global analyst team and sales operations to ensure clients get maximum value from research relationships.
- Build and execute territory sales plans to deliver on revenue goals.
- Analyze deal requirements, market strategy, and financial options to progress complex opportunities, resolving internal priorities where needed.
- Partner with Research, Marketing, and global sales leadership to align customer needs with business priorities and feed market feedback into company decisions.
- Travel regularly within the territory to meet clients and prospects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
