Sales Director

£120,000–£135,000 base salary plus performance-related incentives Potential Relocation Support Car Allowance Chester Area - 5 days a week

Our client is an established UK business services provider with significant scale, strong market credibility, and a substantial existing customer base. The appointment of a Sales Director supports the next stage of its commercial growth, with a clear opportunity to improve new business performance, strengthen leadership capability, and build a more proactive sales culture. You’ll join an extraordinary people-focused organisation that values thoughtful evolution over unnecessary disruption, giving you the backing and autonomy to make a visible impact across revenue, team performance, and customer engagement.

The Sales Director will lead and inspire the UK new business organisation, creating a more predictable commercial engine while shaping the people and processes needed for more sustained growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Own UK new business targets, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy
  • Shift the sales approach towards consultative, solution-led engagement
  • Increase outbound activity and access to higher-value opportunities
  • Lead teams spanning SDR, SME, vertical markets, and business development
  • Represent the organisation during major pitches and industry engagements

You Will Need:

  • Senior sales leadership experience within SaaS, subscription, or technology-enabled services
  • Evidence of improving commercial performance across SME or mid-market customers
  • Strong forecasting, performance management, and operational discipline
  • Confidence working hands-on with strategic deals and customer conversations
  • A credible, emotionally intelligent, and low-ego leadership approach

Within 12–18 months, success will include more consistent new business results, stronger collaboration across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations, and measurable progress towards solution-led selling.
