Sales Director – Asset Management, Northern Europe (New Business)

Linedata is a global leader in investment management technology, providing software, data, and services to many of the world's leading asset managers. As we continue to expand our Asset Management business across Northern Europe, we're looking for an experienced Sales Director to drive new business growth and strengthen our presence throughout the region.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished enterprise sales professional to join an established global fintech organization with a market-leading product portfolio, a strong reputation, and ambitious growth plans. Based in London, you'll focus primarily on the UK market while partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Professional Services, and Executive Leadership to deliver long-term growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Northern Europe, you'll be responsible for developing and executing the regional new business strategy, building executive relationships with leading buy-side firms, and managing complex enterprise software sales opportunities from prospecting through contract execution.
This is a highly visible role where you'll help shape our commercial strategy, expand Linedata's market presence, and drive revenue growth across one of our most strategic regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales across Northern Europe, with a primary focus on the UK asset management market.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue and growth objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and close complex enterprise software opportunities with asset managers and institutional investment firms.
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives, portfolio managers, operations leaders, technology teams, and key decision-makers.
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and formal procurement processes while coordinating internal subject matter experts to deliver winning proposals.
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Consulting, and Client Services to position Linedata's solutions effectively.
- Develop strategic relationships with industry consultants, partners, and influencers.
- Represent Linedata at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events.
- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to influence product strategy and commercial initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for Linedata, demonstrating our values, ethics, and commitment to client success.

What You'll Bring
- Proven success selling enterprise software or SaaS solutions to buy-side asset management firms.
- Strong knowledge of the investment management industry, including portfolio management, order management, trading, investment compliance, or related workflows.
- An established network within the UK and Northern European asset management community.
- Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple executive stakeholders.
- A consultative sales approach with the ability to understand client challenges and deliver business-focused solutions.
- A consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Professional Services.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
