Sales Director of Telco

As Sales Director of Telco, you will act as a trusted advisor and consultative executive partner to our most critical telecommunications clients. By immersing yourself in their ecosystem and anticipating market shifts, you will architect and deliver transformative Equifax data, analytics, and technology solutions that accelerate digital transformation, mitigate risk, and drive revenue growth. You will champion the Equifax brand, influence internal product roadmaps, and lead high-value enterprise engagements across the Telco sector.
What you’ll do
- Formulate multi-year commercial strategies and value alignment goals with C-suite and senior executives across Tier-1 Telco clients to exceed revenue targets.
- Lead cross-functional teams (including Analytics, Delivery, Operations, and Product) to execute high-ROI enterprise solutions and oversee complex, multi-year projects.
- Manage end-to-end commercial operations for strategic accounts, negotiating complex, high-value (£1m+) contracts and recurring subscription models.
- Drive Salesforce (SFDC) excellence as the single source of truth for account planning, pipeline visibility, accurate forecasting, and Opportunity Hygiene Standards.
- Monitor telecommunications market, regulatory, and technology shifts (5G, fraud, digital identity) to inform commercial strategy and shape internal product development.
- Provide executive leadership, mentoring, and team development to maximize commercial capabilities and drive sustainable performance across multiple lines of business.

What experience you need
- Strategic account directorship or commercial leadership experience driving high-value (£1m+) enterprise relationships within the Teleco sector.
- Demonstrated success managing top-tier accounts within an enterprise portfolio across complex, multi-product solution ecosystems.
- Proven track record leading multi-functional account teams to consistently hit multi-year sales targets
- Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing sales and account management teams.
- Expertise in consultative enterprise selling, complex commercial negotiations, and managing long sales cycles with senior decision-makers.
- Strong domain expertise across Consumer, Commercial, and Digital Marketing data ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
What could set you apart
- Proven executive presence and resilience in navigating changing regulatory environments and market disruptions within the Telco space.
- Strong Credit Bureau knowledge
- Deep experience aligning client demands with internal product engineering capabilities to influence cloud and AI-driven solution roadmaps.
- Demonstrated success in creating sales efficiencies, process improvements, or automations by using or building AI tools to optimize account planning and territory management.
