An established European technology business is seeking an inspirational, commercially driven Sales Director to lead its UK sales organisation and drive the next phase of growth.

This is a senior, market-facing leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the UK sales strategy, leading Sales Management, Technical Field Sales and Inside Sales teams, and driving sustainable growth across revenue, gross margin and EBIT.

Working from a hybrid position, we are looking for a motivated, ambitious and results-driven leader who can inspire high performance, create commercial momentum and identify new opportunities across the electronic component and specialist technology market.

The Role

  • Develop and deliver the UK sales strategy and commercial growth plans.
  • Lead, motivate and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Drive revenue, gross margin and EBIT growth.
  • Develop new business, design-in opportunities and strategic target accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • Lead pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance.
  • Use CRM, KPIs and commercial insight to drive focus and accountability.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to support wider business growth.

The Person

  • An engineering degree.
  • Significant experience within the electronic component market.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK electronics market.
  • A proven track record of leading successful sales teams.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering commercial growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen across revenue, margin, EBIT and forecasting.
  • Experience within technical, solution-led and design-in sales.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • An inspirational, proactive and commercially ambitious leadership style.
