Full-Time | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a successful and growing B2B media and publishing business as Sales Director.

This is a senior, hands-on commercial role for an experienced B2B media professional who can sell, lead, and develop people. The successful candidate will have their own personal revenue target, while also taking responsibility for the performance, development, and commercial direction of an established sales team.

We’re looking for a genuine player-manager - someone who is comfortable leading from the front, winning significant business personally, developing major accounts, and creating new opportunities, while coaching a team to consistently improve its performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, coaching, and developing an established sales team
  • Carrying and achieving your own personal revenue target
  • Driving new business and developing major/key accounts
  • Building relationships with senior UK and international decision-makers
  • Growing existing and dormant accounts into larger commercial partnerships
  • Selling integrated solutions across print, digital, content, sponsorship, and events
  • Taking ownership of major commercial opportunities from initial approach through to close
  • Managing team targets, pipelines, forecasting, and overall sales performance
  • Supporting the team on major pitches, meetings, and commercial opportunities
  • Coaching salespeople on prospecting, account development, negotiation, and closing
  • Identifying new revenue streams, products, and partnership opportunities
  • Working closely with senior management on the continued commercial growth of the business
  • Helping shape the wider sales strategy and identifying opportunities to increase revenue across the portfolio

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine senior commercial position offering significant ownership and autonomy. You’ll be joining an established business with a strong presence within its specialist B2B markets and will have the opportunity to directly influence sales performance, revenue growth, and commercial strategy.

It’s particularly well suited to someone who doesn’t want to step away from selling.
