Outbound Sales Specialist
Route 1 Print is the UK's largest online trade printer. Our team is full of creative thinkers and game changers that go the extra mile on each and every client interaction. The business is geared up to deliver some exceptional growth over the next 12 months, and we are looking for an ambitious, outbound sales specialist to drive product and category penetration across our existing and registered customer base.
You will not be making cold calls to blind directories; every customer you contact already knows us, holds an active trade account, or has recently registered. Your goal is simple: uncover what they are buying elsewhere, introduce relevant new product lines, and grow our share of their print spend.
No prior print industry experience is needed. If you have the tenacity, pace, and telephone presence honed in a fast-paced outbound call centre environment, our dedicated training programme will teach you the technical details.
About the Position
- Salary: between £28,000 - £34,000 - OTE £46,000
- Location: Manvers, Rotherham
- Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
- Pay: Weekly pay, every Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily outbound calling campaigns into existing trade resellers and warm sign-ups to identify untapped product categories.
- Engage business owners, print buyers, and designers to audit their current order habits, uncovering cross-sell opportunities in product categories they are not yet purchasing through us.
- Understand the competition. Use our unique selling propositions (USPs) to increase both partner retention and acquisition.
- Guide customers through our product innovations, finishes, and paper stocks, using targeted sample packs and competitive pricing comparisons to convert single-product buyers into multi-category partners.
- Reconnect with accounts whose purchasing frequency has dipped, identifying barriers to order and securing repeat spend across diverse lines.
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, track contact rates, follow up on pricing inquiries, and systematically progress.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
