Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
As the Sales Engineer for the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide focused pre-sales technical and solution support to the Traka UK sales team and Post sales support to the wider Traka UK team, existing clients, and authorized third parties.
- Report to the Traka UK Technical Manager.
- Offer practical and technical assistance with product demonstrations and answering technical questions for the sales team, customers directly.
- Translate customers’ requirements into achievable solutions and engage directly with the R&D team to put forward developments if required.
- Support the wider Traka UK business with solution and technical expertise.
What you will do…
- Develop technical specifications and design integrated key and asset management solutions.
- Complete appropriate solution documentation as part of the pre-sales process forming the basis of a scope of works for the ongoing project team.
- Lead remote or onsite technical discussions from Pre-sales stage through to Post sales support.
- Support the sales team with customer demonstrations of the Traka product either remotely or in person.
- Support the business with technical specifications for customer tenders.
- Be involved in assisting the provision of a technical certification training program.
- Assist the project implementation team with the implementation of complex solutions including but not limited to Integrations, SSO, unique solutions designed by the team.
- Work closely with the wider technical team on core objectives and team cohesion.
- Assist with Trade show setup and attend as required.
- Project manage any technical solutions that require direct Sales engineering project management.
- Collect sales and technical information to assist with the creation of development requests.
- Carry out training of end users in conjunction with the operations team.
- Assist the technical support team with advanced technical support.
- Assist other Traka UK and wider business teams with technical advice and support as required.
- Promote and act in accordance with Traka health and Safety policy at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or Senior Sales Engineers from time to time.

What we expect of you…
- Be a problem solver, with the ability to look at a problem from multiple angles and come up with multiple possible solutions.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent documentation and recording skills.
- Experience in solution design, review, and deployment.
- Experience in software installation ideally with the integration of different platforms.
- General IT experience in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, SQL, etc.
- Networking (TCP/IP) knowledge and experience.
- Due to the nature of the role, travel is required, and a full driver’s license is mandatory.
