Area Sales Manager – Midlands

Build the Territory. Win the Business. Make It Yours.

Universal Motors is growing, and we’re looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Area Sales Manager to take ownership of our Midlands territory.

This is an opportunity to build rather than inherit. You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, opening doors, developing relationships and winning business.

You’ll have the backing of an established European manufacturer, a strong product range, competitive pricing, significant UK stockholding and an experienced team supporting you.

What we need from you is the drive to turn those advantages into customers, sales and long-term relationships.

The Role

You’ll have the freedom and responsibility to develop the Midlands in your own way.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys the chase — someone confident picking up the phone, getting in front of customers, asking the right questions and finding opportunities.

Where Universal Motors already has customers across the region, you’ll also be responsible for strengthening those relationships and increasing our share of their business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
