Recruitment Consultant to transfer into a Business Development Opportunity
Excellent opportunity to transfer your skills from recruitment sales and move into the EV sector as a Sales Engineer, with full training on offer.
Location
Flexible (Home-based role with travel as required to client meetings, and an office visit once a month to catch up with the Sales Manager).
Salary
£35,000 - £40,000 basic + Car + Package
Role
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a growing electrical contractor who operates UK-wide across Low Voltage (EV) to High Voltage (Substations) projects. With the business expanding, we are recruiting across multiple divisions to handle the project pipeline, while also looking for future Sales Engineers who want to transfer their skills.
This role would be perfect for a Recruitment Consultant working in the Construction, Engineering, EV, Energy, or Infrastructure space. You will be used to speaking to white-collar professionals such as Project Managers, Operations Directors, and Procurement Managers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to leave recruitment and move into commercial, industrial, and B2B sales. The role focuses on the EV market, targeting either larger fleets, charging hubs, and major EV installations, or smaller private installations of five units and under. Our client controls the full process from design and planning through to the installation of the equipment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Your role will be client-focused. You will target accounts identified alongside the Sales Manager, then secure meetings to sell our products and services. Full product training is provided, with additional engineering qualifications available if you wish to move into a Tendering Engineer role in the future—linking the stakeholder interface with the technical aspects of creating successful bids.
Day-to-day, you will be home-based, arranging your own diary around the parameters set out by the Sales Manager, with support available at head office or regional offices if required. While home-based, your focus will be on attending meetings and making introductions. KPIs are centered around generating leads rather than converting them, as conversion is handled by the Tendering team. Your goal is simply getting in front of the right people who hold budgetary responsibilities.
