Sales Engineer – Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
Location: Ipswich
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Competitive basic salary + excellent bonus opportunities

The Opportunity
TeamJobs is working with a well-established and highly regarded business within the heating, cooling, and HVAC industry to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer for their Ipswich branch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically knowledgeable sales professional with experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers, and/or AHUs. Your main focus will be driving business growth by developing new opportunities while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the region.
- Managing and developing relationships with existing clients.
- Regularly visiting customer sites to understand their requirements.
- Providing expert technical advice on refrigeration and air conditioning solutions.
- Assisting with the design of HVAC systems based on client specifications.
- Preparing accurate quotations and proposals.
- Managing opportunities through the full sales process and closing deals.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Delivering an outstanding level of customer service throughout the process.

What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven sales background within refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers, and/or AHUs.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and solutions.
- Previous customer relationship management experience within the industry.
- Excellent commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing budgets and resources.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
