Main duties
The role:
Based at our Holytown site, and reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a busy sales team. Initiating, building and maintaining strong customer relationships as well as understanding their technical need, growing sales.
What you will be doing:
- Achieve revenue targets and margin projections within the specified region and increase market share in Mersen related insulation products.
- Manage and facilitate success within the territory to meet the performance and sales goals.
- Foster and nurture existing customer relationships for growth expectations.
- Continually seek and develop new business opportunities.
- Create prospects through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting methods.
- Track, follow-up and monitor all leads and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
- Respond to detailed requests for quotes, pricing, information, and other detailed procurement contracts within the expected time frames / deadlines.
- Provide technical support to Mersen affiliate companies.
- Expect to travel within the region to support customers/affiliates’, attend trade shows and business events.
- Work collaboratively with internal resources; customer service, technical, R&D and operations.
- Professionally represent the company at all times.

Essential
- Engineering or materials qualification. Graduate masters or 6-10 years technical sales experience essential.
- Experience in technical sales relating to industrial materials is desirable.
- Experience of working in the electronic materials, Aerospace and Heat treatment markets is desirable.
- Computer literate, Microsoft office and JD Edwards a plus.
- Able to work on own initiative.
