Based anywhere in the North UK, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team, helping us grow our existing business
We supply and manufacture high:reliability electronic components for some of the biggest hitters in various industries and you will be visiting these customers and assisting them with technically demanding projects.
BASIC SALARY: A GBP 60,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Sales Engineer : Electronic Component, Manufacturer
As our Sales Engineer, you'll be supporting customers with component selection, getting involved in the design activity, developing new opportunities and helping turn those opportunities into long:term business.
What will you be doing?
- Providing technical and commercial support to customers across the UK.
- Supporting customer design activity, qualification projects and design:in opportunities.
- Visiting customers and attending meetings, exhibitions and supplier visits.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities across existing and prospective accounts.
- Supporting franchise growth initiatives and supplier development plans.
- Supporting supplier presentations, training sessions and joint customer visits.
- Initially focused on supporting and growing existing business with a longer term focus on bringing on new business

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Technical Sales Engineer : Electronic Component, Manufacturer
Ideally, you will come from a technical sales, applications engineering, field sales engineering or product specialist background within the electronic components industry.
Experience with the following components would be beneficial: passive components, capacitors and resistors, magnetics and transformers, power supplies, circuit breakers, EMC, RF, sensors and oscillators.
You Will Also Need To
- Understand electronic and / or electromechanical components and the uses.
- Have experience supporting customer design activity and developing technical opportunities.
- Demonstrate the ability to have conversations with everyone from engineers and procurement teams through to commercial stakeholders.
- Have a full clean UK driving licence and be happy to travel regularly across the UK.
- Have a track record of working with customers in aerospace, defence, space, rail, industrial, audio or other high:reliability sectors would be particularly useful.
