Role Description

The Sales Engineer role at Aformely is a full-time, on-site position based in Islāmābād, Pakistan. In this role, the Sales Engineer collaborates closely with potential and existing customers to understand their product design and manufacturing needs, translates technical requirements into tailored solutions, and supports the sales team in presenting the company’s capabilities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering technical demos
  • Responding to customer inquiries
  • Providing pre- and post-sales technical support
  • Helping qualify opportunities in coordination with the sales team

The Sales Engineer documents customer feedback, works with engineering and product teams to refine offerings, and contributes to proposals and quotations. This role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring high-quality service, and supporting the growth of Aformely’s AI-driven design and manufacturing ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Strong Sales Engineering skills: Ability to connect technical capabilities to customer needs and business outcomes.
  • Solid Technical Support experience: Including troubleshooting, solution configuration, and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Excellent Communication skills: Including clear technical and non-technical communication, presentation abilities, and documentation.
  • Proven Sales skills: Such as opportunity qualification, collaboration with sales teams, and support in closing deals.
  • Strong Customer Service abilities: Including responsiveness, relationship-building, and a customer-centric mindset.

Relevant qualifications include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial design, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with CAD tools, product design workflows, or digital fabrication technologies is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup environment and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams is important.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is a plus.
