Sales Engineer
Are you a technically minded sales professional who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with commercial opportunity?
Our client, a global leader in climate innovation, is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive service sales across the North East and Yorkshire regions. This is an opportunity to combine technical understanding with commercial acumen, developing new business while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
As Senior Sales Engineer, you'll play a central role in developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships. You'll identify opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline and provide technical guidance around service, maintenance, repair and upgrade solutions. The role is focused on developing long term customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase revenue and expand the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities and identify potential customers for service solutions.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen relationships.
- Promote and sell service solutions to new and existing B2B customers.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, keeping CRM records accurate and up to date.
- Visit customer sites to understand requirements and identify potential service, maintenance, repair and upgrade opportunities.
- Use your technical knowledge to recommend appropriate HVAC and chiller solutions.
- Develop long term customer relationships, supporting renewals, retention and account growth.
- Work closely with technical, service and operations teams to develop effective customer solutions.
- Monitor market activity and identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, tracking performance against targets.

Who They’re Looking For:
- Knowledge of HVAC and/or chiller systems.
- Proven B2B sales experience within a technical or engineering environment.
- Experience managing existing customer accounts alongside generating new business.
- A proven track record of developing sales opportunities and achieving targets.
- Strong communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Good technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Commercially focused, organised and able to manage a varied customer portfolio and sales pipeline.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
