Sales and Senior Sales Engineer – Cybersecurity SaaS - Level 1 to Level 4 Seniority

UK | Hybrid

What if your next Sales Engineering role was less about building bespoke solutions and more about showing customers exactly how great technology solves their problems?

A rapidly growing cybersecurity SaaS organisation is building out its Sales Engineering team and is looking for a Sales Engineer to join them.

This is a high-energy, demo-led pre-sales role working alongside Account Executives.

What you'll be doing

  • Join customer calls after the AE has completed discovery
  • Deliver compelling SaaS product demonstrations
  • Understand the customer's pain points and tailor the demo around them
  • Translate technical functionality into clear business value
  • Support short customer trials and proof-of-value activities
  • Define what success looks like for the customer
  • Run follow-up sessions throughout the evaluation
  • Work closely with AEs to progress opportunities
  • Bring cybersecurity expertise into customer conversations
  • Develop deeper Microsoft 365 knowledge through coaching from the existing team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team is targeting 10+ demonstrations per week, with 3 demos a day achievable at peak. So if you're used to spending two days preparing for one enterprise demo, this probably isn't the role for you.

If you're the person an AE can message an hour before a call and say: "I've got a customer demo – can you jump on?" …and your answer is "Absolutely." …this could be a very good fit.

Microsoft 365 experience?

Helpful, but not essential. The team already has deep Microsoft expertise and will coach the successful candidate. They're looking for someone who brings the cybersecurity knowledge and SaaS demo mindset from day one.
