Sales Engineer (m/f/d)
RF & Microwave Solutions | EMEA Technical Sales Role
Location: Home-based within the UK, Belgium or Germany to sell across the UK and Nordics
Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 basic based on experience
Bonus: up to 20%
Benefits: Fully expensed company car or car allowance
Holidays: 25-30 days annual leave + national holidays

Remote working with full equipment provided
Umbilical Search is supporting a market-leading manufacturer of high-performance RF and microwave solutions, supplying a range of advanced technology sectors including telecommunications, aerospace & defence, and industrial applications.
Due to continued growth and increased demand across EMEA, we are seeking a Sales Engineer to drive new business development and expand key account sales across the region. This is a highly technical and commercially focused role, combining engineering expertise with strategic sales execution.
The role offers strong autonomy, exposure to global teams, and a clear pathway into senior commercial or leadership roles within a business focused on innovation and long-term growth.

- Drive new business development and identify design-in opportunities with OEM customers
- Manage and grow existing accounts across RF and microwave applications
- Engage with engineering, procurement, and programme stakeholders to influence specifications
- Support customers with technical solutions across RF materials and PCB-related applications
- Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, and conversion
- Develop and maintain a structured pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Collaborate with internal technical, product, and commercial teams to deliver solutions
- Align with manufacturing partners and support customer requirements through to production
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments
- Travel 30%-40% across the EMEA region for customer engagement
Requirements:
- Proven experience in RF and microwave technologies is essential, with a strong understanding of RF systems, RF materials, PCB technologies, antenna systems, semiconductors, or related fields
- Background in technical sales, applications engineering, or business development, with experience working with OEMs and/or manufacturing partners
- Commercially aware with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
- Fluent English required; additional European languages advantageous
- Willingness to travel across the region and hold a full driving licence
