Job Title: Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant (Construction Software)

Location: Hybrid – Buckinghamshire (1 day per week in office)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + 5K bonus and £5K car allowance

The Company:

  • Join a growing, established B2B technology business operating within the construction and infrastructure software space
  • Work within a specialist product environment supporting major projects across planning, delivery, and project controls
  • A collaborative, technical sales environment where product, sales, and delivery teams work closely together
  • Strong focus on innovation, data-led decision making, and improving how large-scale construction projects are planned and delivered

The Role:

  • Act as a key technical partner to the sales team, supporting complex software sales cycles across construction planning and project management solutions
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders in client organisations (e.g. planning directors, project controls, and delivery teams) to understand requirements and shape solutions
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations, showcasing how the platform supports project planning, scheduling, reporting, and data analysis
  • Translate complex construction planning processes into clear, value-led solutions for customers and prospects
  • Support the development of proposals, tenders, and solution design, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product capability
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve product positioning, messaging, and overall go-to-market effectiveness

The Requirements:

  • Background in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or technical project-facing role within software, construction tech, or engineering environments
  • Strong understanding of construction project planning, scheduling, or project controls (experience with industry planning tools highly desirable)
  • Exposure to data-heavy, analytical environments within construction, engineering, or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous
  • Degree in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar technical discipline would be beneficial
  • Alternatively, experience within ConTech / SaaS with strong ability to quickly learn complex technical domains and construction workflows
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior level
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, solution-led sales environment with multiple concurrent opportunities
