Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into compelling and optimized technical energy storage solution proposals in close cooperation with the UK&I sales team.
  • Drive Solution Design: Develop a deep understanding of energy storage technology platforms and provide sales teams with expert technical support and product configuration guidance.
  • Empower the Team: Assist in the development and management of high-impact sales tools and technical support materials.
  • Lead Turnkey Integration: Take the lead in identifying and evaluating proposals from installation contractors to support seamless system integration and turnkey solution delivery.
  • Partner in Deal Closure: Work closely with the Sales team to negotiate and resolve technical aspects of customer contracts.
  • Shape Product Strategy: Capture customer technical and application requirements to directly influence and shape future product roadmaps.
  • Ensure Compliance & Excellence: Support the development of engineered designs to meet all applicable local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Resolve Technical Challenges: Proactively identify technical deviations and collaboratively address them within the team and across supporting business functions.
  • Regional Impact: Travel throughout the EMEA region to support key client engagements and project initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Relevant professional work experience in the power, renewable energy, or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) industry (or equivalent demonstrated technical track record).
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and effectively communicate results to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in offer management or technical contract review.
  • Hands-on experience working with CRM and engineering tools (e.g., Salesforce, CAD).
  • Sound knowledge of local standards, codes, and energy regulations.
  • Passion, entrepreneurial drive, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple parallel tasks effectively.
  • Strong sense of ownership over opportunities and a clear drive to close them to achieve Fluence’s strategic business targets.
  • Excellent coordination, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Thrives and operates effectively in a highly collaborative, informally structured work environment.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
