Sales Engineer

Salisbury

£35k - £50k depending on experience, company car and bonus

ENB are supporting our client to recruit a Sales Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The company themselves design and manufacture bespoke pumps and systems used in some of the world's largest companies. They have a solid reputation for their design and delivery.

Their customer base spans across the world, with equipment operating in over 80 countries and across a diverse range of industries. They are approved suppliers for a broad range of high pressure fluid pumps and systems and they continue to grow.

About the Role

As the Sales Engineer, your role will be to initially work within the internal sales team, supporting customer enquiries, preparing quotations, generating technical proposals and gain a detailed understanding of their products, customers and markets.

  • Graduates or experienced Sales Engineers are welcome.
  • Opportunity to shadow the UK Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the UK sales team.
  • Gain practical experience in customer engagement, business development, and account management.
  • Support the Sales Director with technical sales submissions, tender responses, and project-based opportunities within both the UK and export markets.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for customer visits, sales development activities, and project management as experience develops.

Ideal Candidate

  • A technical or engineering background.
  • Previous customer-facing, sales support, or engineering experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work.
  • Ability to build customer relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and internationally when required.

Advantages:

  • A degree or higher qualification in engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Travel Requirements

There will be a requirement to travel regularly throughout the UK and occasionally overseas to visit customers, attend exhibitions, support project activities, and identify new business opportunities.

This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, is comfortable with early starts and late finishes when required, and has the drive, ambition, and work ethic to succeed within a growing international engineering business.
