Job Description – Sales Engineer/Manager – North England

Position

Sales Engineer/Manager – North England (based on experience)

Purpose of Position

To establish and strengthen Roto Pumps' presence across North England by driving sales growth for Progressive Cavity Pumps, Twin Screw Pumps, rotary equipment, retrofit solutions, valves, and spares. The role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding Roto UK's market share across wastewater, biogas, and process industries.

North England (Preferably near Manchester or surrounding industrial clusters)

Educational & Technical Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Technical background in pumps, rotary mechanical equipment, valves or fluid handling equipment preferred.
  • Commercial or business qualification would be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 8-15 years' experience in industrial B2B sales.
  • Experience in Pumps preferably in PC Pumps, Rotary Mechanical Equipment, Valves or Process Equipment.
  • Strong exposure to: Wastewater Industry, Biogas Industry, Process Industry, Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Strong customer network with End Users, EPCs, OEMs, Contractors and Distributors.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across North England.

Work Experience & Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies for North England.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned territory.
  • Promote Progressive Cavity Pumps, Twin Screw Pumps, Rotary Equipment, Spare Parts and Retrofit Solutions.
  • Build long-term relationships with industrial customers.
  • Visit customers regularly to generate enquiries and convert them into business.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare quotations and participate in commercial negotiations.
  • Work closely with the GM – Roto UK for achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Coordinate after-sales support with service teams.
  • Represent Roto Pumps at customer events and exhibitions.
