Role Description
The Sales Estimator – Industrial Roof Refurbishment is a full-time, on-site role based in Kettering. This role is responsible for surveying and assessing industrial roofing projects, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, and producing professional quotations for new and existing clients. Day-to-day tasks include visiting sites, reviewing technical information, liaising with clients to understand requirements, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure realistic scopes and timelines. The Sales Estimator will follow up on leads, support business development activities, and maintain strong customer service standards throughout the sales and project estimation process. The role also involves maintaining records in CRM or project management systems, supporting tender submissions, and contributing to continuous improvement of pricing and proposal processes.

- Strong Sales and Business Development skills to generate opportunities, build client relationships, and secure industrial roof refurbishment projects.
- Proficiency in Project Estimation, including site assessment, cost analysis, and preparation of clear, accurate quotations and tender documents.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to manage client expectations, provide clear updates, and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and survey reports related to roofing and construction projects.
- Experience in the construction, roofing, or industrial refurbishment sector is highly beneficial.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in pricing and documentation.
- Competence in using office software and CRM or estimation tools to manage data, proposals, and client information.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel locally for site visits.
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to work safely and effectively in an on-site environment.
