Sales & Events Manager – House of Social, Location
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, 42.5 hour per week
Salary: £32-34,000 per annum
Working Patterns: Monday - Friday
House of Social Food Hall is Manchester’s newest and most exciting food hall. A collection of five independent kitchens, serving food and drink to suit every taste and time. Our venue spans 12,000 square feet of brand new dining and drinking space. We're looking for a driven, outgoing and commercially minded Sales & Events Manager to help grow House of Social and build our presence across Manchester. We want someone who knows Manchester – or is excited to get to know it – and enjoys getting out there, meeting people, building relationships and turning those relationships into revenue.
From corporate events and Christmas parties to brand activations, celebrations, networking events and long-term business partnerships, you'll be responsible for finding opportunities and converting them into business.
Our Sales & Events Manager
As Sales & Events Manager, you’ll lead proactive sales and business development activity for House of Social, building strong relationships with corporate clients, event bookers, agencies, local businesses, residential partners and organisations across Manchester. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities and growing a sustainable pipeline of business.
Working closely with our Reservations, Marketing and Operations teams, you’ll ensure every opportunity is turned into an exceptional event that drives repeat business. A key part of the role is being out in the market, meeting prospective clients, attending networking events and developing long-term relationships that support the venue’s growth.
Business Development & Outbound Sales
- Build and manage a proactive sales pipeline to generate new corporate, event and group bookings.
- Develop strong relationships with businesses, organisations and key contacts across Manchester through networking, outreach and client meetings.
- Convert leads into bookings through venue tours, consistent follow-up and exceptional client engagement.
- Drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets, securing repeat business and identifying opportunities during quieter trading periods.
Networking & Partnerships
- Represent House of Social at networking events and build a strong presence within Manchester’s business and hospitality community.
- Develop relationships with corporate decision-makers, event bookers, agencies, organisers, and local businesses to drive commercial opportunities.
- Identify and create partnerships, collaborations, and cross-promotional activities that increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Host prospective clients, build a valuable professional network, and create opportunities for businesses to engage with House of Social beyond event bookings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
