Role: Sales & Events Manager
Type: Permanent
Location: Farringdon / Hybrid
Reports to: Sales Director
About the Role
fabric is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Events Manager to play a key role in growing our midweek events business. Working closely with the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing incoming enquiries, converting opportunities into confirmed bookings, and delivering an exceptional client experience from first contact through to event handover.
This is a fast-paced role that combines sales, client relationship management, event planning, and commercial accountability. You'll be instrumental in driving revenue growth across fabric's event spaces while ensuring every event reflects the venue's reputation.
Sales & Business Development
- Manage and convert inbound enquiries for midweek events, including corporate events, brand activations, product launches, conferences, networking events, filming, and private celebrations.
- Support the Sales Director in executing the venue's midweek sales strategy and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate records, pipelines, forecasts, and client communications within the CRM system.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients, agencies, venue finders, and industry partners.
- Take ownership of the sales process from enquiry through to contract, negotiation, and confirmation.
- Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs.
- Conduct venue tours and client meetings, showcasing the unique capabilities of fabric while identifying opportunities to maximise event value.
- Confidently present venue packages, production capabilities, supplier options, and operational logistics.
- Represent fabric at networking events, trade shows, industry showcases, and other business development opportunities.

Event Planning & Delivery
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to event delivery.
- Lead the planning and advancement of events where required.
- Prepare detailed event briefs and ensure all client requirements are communicated accurately via the CRM system.
- Attend key client events on-site, providing support during event commencement and ensuring expectations are met.
- Maintain strong internal relationships across all departments to ensure successful event execution.
Financial Management
- Raise event invoices and monitor payment schedules throughout the event lifecycle.
- Proactively manage outstanding payments and support debt recovery processes when required.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and contribute to sales reporting and budgeting processes.
- Work alongside Operations to ensure all events are reconciled promptly and accurately following completion.
- Provide regular sales performance and pipeline reports to the Sales Director.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in venue sales, event sales, hospitality sales, or a similar commercial events role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maximise profitability while maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Experience managing multiple enquiries and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the events, hospitality, or venue hire market, including agency and venue-finder networks.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of event profitability.
