New Business Sales Representative

What You Need to Know

Location: Kent
Salary: £30,000 basic
Commission: Uncapped - 15% of profit generated on every deal
First Year OTE: £40,000+
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Working Location: Fully office-based
Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

We’re working with a recently established and growing promotional merchandise business that is looking for a confident and commercially driven New Business Sales Representative to join their team.

This is a genuine new-business sales role, focused on finding new clients, starting conversations and winning new business.

The business is still in its growth phase, so they’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running from day one and start generating new business.

You’ll be joining a recently established, fast-growing business at an exciting stage of its development, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact from day one, build your own client base and play a key role in the company’s continued growth. As the business scales, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career alongside it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying and targeting potential new clients
  • Making outbound calls to prospective customers
  • Creating new sales opportunities through cold and warm prospecting
  • Speaking with decision-makers and developing new relationships
  • Understanding client requirements and presenting suitable solutions
  • Following up opportunities and progressing prospects through the sales process
  • Negotiating and closing new business
  • Building and managing your own sales pipeline
  • Keeping CRM activity and opportunities up to date
  • Working towards agreed sales objectives and revenue targets

What They’re Looking For

This role is about sales ability, confidence and the drive to generate new business. You must have:

  • Previous sales or business development experience
  • Proven experience calling and approaching new clients
  • Confidence making outbound calls and speaking to decision-makers
  • A genuine hunger to win new business
  • A proactive, self-starting approach
  • Resilience and the ability to handle rejection
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ambition and motivation to increase your earnings through performance
  • The right to work in the UK

You don’t need to come from the marketing or promotional merchandise industry. What matters most is that you understand new-business sales and are comfortable picking up the phone, creating opportunities and converting them into new clients.

What’s in It for You?

£30,000 basic salary + uncapped commission. You’ll receive 15% of the profit generated on every deal you bring into the business. The anticipated first-year commission is around £10,000 on top of your basic, giving you an expected first-year OTE of £40,000+.
