Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role based at Drayton Motors in Boston. The Sales Executive is responsible for engaging with showroom and online enquiries, identifying customer needs and recommending suitable new and used vehicles, finance options and add-on products. Daily activities include managing the sales process from initial contact through test drives, quotation, negotiation and final handover, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met. The role involves maintaining accurate records in the dealership’s CRM system, following up leads, building long-term customer relationships and working closely with colleagues in aftersales and administration to deliver a seamless experience. The Sales Executive is expected to contribute to sales targets, uphold brand standards, stay informed about product developments and support promotional events and campaigns.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in retail sales, ideally within the automotive sector, with strong skills in customer engagement, needs analysis and closing sales.
- Ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, active listening and a consultative approach.
- Competence with digital tools and CRM systems, including managing enquiries, updating records and following structured sales processes.
- Solid understanding of vehicle features, finance products, insurance and add-on services, or a clear willingness and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and transparent way.
- High level of personal integrity, reliability and professionalism, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer care and meeting dealership standards.
- Ability to work to individual and team targets, manage time effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Valid driving licence suitable for test drives and customer demonstrations; prior dealership or automotive brand experience is an advantage.
