Sales Executive
OA are recruiting for a Sales Executive to join our client's highly successful and growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the construction industry and heavyside building materials. You'll play a key role in driving branch sales, developing long-term customer relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Location: Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead
Hours: 7.30am-4.30pm, 1hr for lunch.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus depending on experience

Sales Executive Key Responsibilities
- Support Branch Management with sales and marketing activities
- Identify, develop and maximise new business opportunities
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers
- Sell heavyside building materials to both trade and retail customers while maintaining profitability
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the sales process
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Support the onboarding and development of new customer accounts
- Assist with new product launches and promotional initiatives
- Maintain Health & Safety standards and company procedures

Sales Executive Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a builders' merchant or construction materials environment
- Strong knowledge of heavyside building materials
- Proven sales and negotiation experience with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent account management and relationship-building skills
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to maximise margins and profitability
- Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Confident building relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues at all levels
- Experience preparing quotations and negotiating pricing
- Organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive with a positive attitude
- Good understanding of Health & Safety within a construction or merchant environment
