Sales Executive – Cloud & AI Technology
Remote / Flexible Working | £35,000–£40,000 + Commission | Four-Day Week
Denholm Associates is delighted to be working with a key client, an established and growing cloud technology consultancy, to recruit a Sales Executive into their commercial team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious junior to mid-level B2B salesperson who wants to develop their career within one of the fastest-moving areas of technology – Cloud, Data and AI.
Our client works with organisations to transform how they operate through cloud technology, digital collaboration, data and increasingly AI. They combine technology solutions with consultancy, professional services and ongoing support.
We’re particularly keen to speak with candidates who already have experience within the Google Workspace or Google Cloud ecosystem, but this isn't essential. If you've sold within AWS, Microsoft Azure, SaaS, managed services, IT services or another cloud technology environment, we'd also be very interested in speaking with you.
The opportunity
Working closely with an experienced Sales Director and wider technical team, you'll develop new business opportunities and gradually take greater ownership of your own customers, pipeline and commercial results.
You'll be involved throughout the sales process – identifying prospects, opening conversations, understanding customer requirements, developing opportunities and ultimately converting them into new business. This is a consultative sales role, rather than simply selling a predefined product. You'll learn how to understand a customer's business challenges and work with technical specialists to demonstrate how cloud, data and AI solutions can help solve them.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Building and managing your own sales pipeline
- Prospecting and engaging potential customers
- Running discovery conversations to understand business requirements
- Developing relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders
- Selling technology solutions, professional services and ongoing support
- Working alongside technical specialists to develop customer solutions
- Presenting proposals and commercial recommendations
- Negotiating and closing new business
- Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline information
- Developing existing customer relationships and identifying further opportunities
- Building your knowledge across Cloud, Data and AI

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Who we're looking for
We're deliberately keeping the experience level relatively open.
You might be an SDR, BDR, Account Executive, Sales Executive, Business Development Executive or Junior Account Manager who has built a strong foundation in technology sales and is now ready for greater responsibility.
Alternatively, you may already be managing your own sales opportunities and want to move into a specialist cloud environment with excellent long-term career potential. Ideally, you'll have experience within one or more of the following:
- Google Workspace
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- AWS
- Microsoft Azure
- SaaS
- Managed Services
- IT Services
- Cloud Consultancy
- Data & Analytics
- AI
Direct Google experience would be particularly attractive, but it's certainly not a prerequisite. We're equally interested in people who understand how to sell technology consultatively and are genuinely interested in developing their cloud knowledge.
We're looking for someone who is curious, commercially ambitious and comfortable speaking with customers. You'll ask good questions, listen properly and be interested in understanding the business problem rather than simply pushing a product. You'll also be comfortable working with a CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce and understand the importance of good pipeline management and forecasting.

The business offers considerable autonomy and flexibility and has created a supportive culture where people are trusted to manage their own work. And perhaps most notably, following successful completion of your initial three-month onboarding period, you'll move onto a four-day working week.

- £35,000–£40,000 basic salary + competitive commission structure, alongside:
