We are a 200 car independent dealership that has been serving the Fylde Coast for over 40 years. Due to one of our long-serving sales executives retiring we require a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to help complement our busy sales team.

You will be selling a varied and large selection of quality used cars to customers both in person and online. As a Sales Executive you will be an integral part of the customer experience and inspire long-term customer engagement. You will work closely with the customers to offer tailored options to meet their individual needs.

The ideal candidate must be able to take a sale from initial contact with customer all the way through to handover, and also deal with finance and add-on product sales too.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to build strong relationships (not only with customers but internally with staff in all of our departments too).
  • Previous sales experience with a proven track record. Experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not essential. Training is provided to ensure you gain SAF accreditation in order to be able to advise customers properly on finance products.
  • Perform well under pressure and can handle all aspects of vehicle retail.
  • Ability to achieve a performance standard against a set target.
  • A proven ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to achieve targets.
  • Be IT literate.
  • Be a team player and get involved in stock presentation, online advertising, and vehicle photography.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role is to achieve targets for the sale of vehicles, accessories, and finance products whilst utilising the company sales process to ensure maximum profitability. You will also promote company values and ensure complete customer satisfaction at all times. If you are confident, well-presented, have a desire to succeed and have the ability to quickly establish rapport with people, you will be successful in this role.

The successful candidate will be able to display an aptitude for used car sales, be good with figures, have a thorough working knowledge of the current used market, and be ready to work hard to maximize all opportunities. It is also key that you have strong after-sales skills to help support the after-sales department with cars you have sold that are in for any warranty work. This is what creates trust from your customers who then come back time and time again wanting to deal with you specifically for their next car.
