Job Title: Regional Sales Executive / Account Manager

Location: Field-based (Territory: Midlands)

Sector: Drainage Vehicles & Vacuum Pump Equipment

Salary: Competitive Base + OTE Company Vehicle + Benefits

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven Sales Executive to manage and expand our client's presence within the specialist vehicle and pump equipment sector. This is predominantly a field-based role focused on the sale of high-value capital equipment, including vacuum tankers, jetting units, and bespoke pump systems, to both municipal and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the utilities, local government, and industrial waste sectors.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing fleet managers and procurement leads, ensuring high levels of service and repeat business.
  • Technical Specification: Work closely with clients to define technical requirements for custom vehicle builds, ensuring all equipment meets operational and regulatory standards.
  • Field Activity: Conduct regular site visits and product demonstrations across the assigned territory to showcase equipment capabilities.
  • Tender Management: Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for large-scale procurement tenders.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to provide feedback to the engineering and product development teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in B2B field sales, ideally within or with an interest in the HGV, plant machinery, or specialist vehicle industries.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and learn complex mechanical specifications, specifically regarding vacuum technology and high-pressure pump systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the liquid waste, utilities, or drainage sectors is highly advantageous but not necessary.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Mobility: Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel within the designated territory.
