Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role based in Leicester. The Sales Executive will:

  • Welcome and engage customers in the showroom
  • Understand their needs and guide them through the selection of new and used vehicles
  • Present vehicle features and benefits
  • Arrange test drives
  • Prepare tailored quotations and finance options
  • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry to handover
  • Maintain accurate records in dealership systems
  • Follow up on leads and build long-term relationships to encourage repeat and referral business

The Sales Executive will collaborate with colleagues in sales, service, and finance to ensure a seamless customer experience and achievement of personal and dealership sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales, automotive sales, or a customer-facing commercial role, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear presentation of information, and professional negotiation abilities
  • Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to build trust, handle enquiries and concerns, and deliver a positive experience throughout the buying journey
  • Good numeracy and basic finance understanding to explain pricing, offers, and vehicle finance options in a clear and compliant manner
  • Competent IT skills, including use of CRM or dealership management systems, email, and standard office software
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple customer interactions, follow up leads, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Interest in the automotive sector and willingness to learn about vehicle features, specifications, and manufacturer product ranges
  • Valid UK driving licence and the ability to conduct test drives safely and responsibly
  • Flexibility to work dealership hours, including weekends and peak trading periods as required
